Red Bank Battle Cannon Uncovered; Decomposing Bodies at Funeral Home; La Salle Layoffs

Archaeologists doing a dig at the site of the Battle of Red Bank in Gloucester County may have uncovered a cannon that exploded in 1777 during a battle defending Fort Mercer against the British. That explosion killed 12 American regiments during the fight on October 22nd 238 years ago. Until the find is tested and verified, the heavy artillery will remain in the ground.

Around 1:25 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews responded to a 2 alarm fire in King of Prussia at an apartment complex. Dozens of residents were evacuated from their building apartments. All people appear to have been evacuated with no injuries. Crews are on scene investigating the cause of the fire.

White House Fence Jumper Shot When Stabbing ChesCo Deputy; Bodies Found In Strawberry Mansion Garage

A man who jumped the White House fence earlier this year was shot and killed after stabbing a sheriff's deputy inside the Chester County Justice Center today. 33-year-old Curtis Smith of Coatesville, PA, entered the Justice Center in West Chester around 11 a.m. He ran right through the doors and past security yelling, 'I'm gonna get ya, I'm gonna get ya.' The neon lights of the Wildwoods have become part of a video light-art piece aimed at raising awareness and serving as a visual symbol for peace. "Peace Lights" was produced by artists Peter Rogina and Eileen Cohen.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane appeared in court in Norristown today for a preliminary hearing on charges she leaked grand jury material to a newspaper and then lied about it to another grand jury investigating her. The prosecution called numerous witnesses to testify toward Kane's actions. China's stock market fell Monday by its biggest margin in eight years, defying the government's multi-billion-dollar effort to stop a slide that has wiped out the gains of this year's price boom. The decline threatened to weigh heavily on global markets after last week's Chinese losses triggered a worldwide selloff. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 8.5 percent, its biggest one-day loss since 2007. Here in the U.S., financial markets are in a sell-off.

A Barnegat, NJ man has been arrested for having inappropriate online communications with a minor. 25-year-old Steven Sheerer is the owner of the home where Rosie O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter Chelsea was found on Tuesday after being reported missing. A portion of the Willow Grove Mall was evacuated this afternoon after a bomb threat was discovered. The Macy's department store was cleared when a note was found inside saying there was a bomb in the store at 3:30 p.m. Police and Montgomery County officials ordered all customers and employees to leave the store as they searched the store.
