A Philadelphia Police officer was shot and injured in Kensington on Wednesday morning. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross identified him as 31-year-old Officer Paul Sulock. It happened near G and Madison Streets just after 11 a.m. Sulock and his partner, both in uniform on routine patrol, happened to interrupt a confrontation between to men. A person was struck and killed outside of a polling place in Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania on Election Day Tuesday morning, 11/6. It happened around 10:45 a.m. outside of the Forks Township municipal building. It was being used as a polling site at the time. The victim was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the minivan remained at the scene. Officials are investigating after a large home exploded in Gladwyne, Montgomery County, on Sunday evening, 11/4. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 600 block of Dodds Lane. The 8,000 sq ft. mansion was undergoing extensive renovations at the time and the family was staying in a carriage house on the property. A two-alarm fire in Havertown on Friday evening, 11/2, claimed the life of a woman. 62-year-old Roseann McLaughlin was killed when fire broke out in her home on the 900 block of Larchmont Avenue around 6 p.m. Chief John Viola said the flames were too intense and firefighters could not get her out. Students and others woke up to find broken glass in the streets after thieves had smashed the windows of 42 cars and even a food truck. A West Chester University student has been arrested for hiding a cell phone in public bathrooms to record at least 20 women. 24-year-old Joshua Yannuzzi of Honey Brook, Chester County, is charged with over 100 counts including felony wire-tap violations, criminal use of a communication facility, invasion of privacy, and other offenses.
