A West Chester University student has been arrested for hiding a cell phone in public bathrooms to record at least 20 women. 24-year-old Joshua Yannuzzi of Honey Brook, Chester County, is charged with over 100 counts including felony wire-tap violations, criminal use of a communication facility, invasion of privacy, and other offenses. He is also banned from campus. Yannuzzi is a musical theatre student at the university. He targeted young women he knew through theater. Authorities say the recordings were made in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland at various theaters and private residences. An investigation began after one woman noticed an iPhone recording in a bathroom on the campus of WCU. She notified police. Surveillance video shows Yannuzzi entering the single person bathroom before the woman and then going back after she left. Police believe there may be more than the 20 victims that have been identified. If you have any information contact Chester County Detective Robert Balchunis at 610-344-6866. These are locations where Yannuzzi allegedly made recordings:
-The E.O. Bull Center at West Chester University
-The Footlighters Theater in Berwyn, Pennsylvania
-The Genesius Theatre in Reading, Pennsylvania
-The Street Lamp Productions Theater in Rising Sun, Maryland
-A residence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
-Multiple residences in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
-A residence in West Chester, Pennsylvania
-A residence in Reading, Pennsylvania
A bike courier who fatally stabbed a real estate developer during an altercation on the street near Rittenhouse Square over the summer was in court on Tuesday morning, 10/30, for a preliminary hearing. The incident happened the evening of July 12th at 17th and Chancellor Streets. 37-year-old Sean Schellenger was riding in a friend's car when they got stuck in traffic. He got out to help move traffic along. Michael White was on his bicycle delivering food when he rode through the scene. An argument broke out between the two men, which then turned physical. At one point Schellenger picked up White. Prosecutors showed a surveillance picture of that. White then pulled a knife from his backpack and stabbed Schellenger in the back. White was initially charged with first degree murder, but that charge was reduced to third degree. Today, the judge upheld the third-degree murder charge and ordered White to stand trial. When the charge was first reduced from first degree, White was able to post $150,000 bail, but was placed on house arrest. Today, the judge said he can be taken off house arrest while he awaits trial.
Angelo Cataldi made the announcement this morning on 94 WIP that the radio station will no longer be holding Wing Bowl. After 26 years, the annual Wing Bowl competition held early Friday morning before Super Bowl Sunday has come to an end. The tradition started in 1993 with co-host Al Morganti's idea to keep Philadelphia Eagles fans excited for something at a time of the year that the team had scarcely still been playing. It grew into a giant extravaganza of debauchery and gluttony, from babes to beer bellies, and plenty of drunk, rowdy, and irreverent spectators. 20,000 people packed into the Wells Fargo Center this past February, two days before the Eagles won their first Super Bowl. Molly Schuyler won her third title and set a new record. She ate 501 wings in 30 minutes, besting the old record of 444 set in 2015. The Lombardi Trophy is now secured in South Philly so Wing Bowl is no longer.
