Swarms of bees were buzzing around a Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange this morning and into the afternoon causing quite a ruckus. The honey bees swarmed the light fixtures near Lane 9 at the Valley Forge interchange Exit 328 in King of Prussia. Authorities were forced to redirect traffic and change those cash tolls to EZ-Pass only. If the honey bees continue to cause a disturbance they will be removed and relocated. As a protected 'pollinator' species, they cannot just be killed.Read More |

The Sidney Kimmel Foundation has made a donation of $110 million to Thomas Jefferson University who will rename its medical school the Sidney Kimmel Medical College. The funds will be used to pay for medical school scholarships, attract top faculty and build state of the art medical school facilities.

Decontamination crews were on hand in Hatboro, Montgomery County Tuesday to clean the apartment of a man accused of sending the deadly poison ricin to a romantic rival. Another black bear is making its way through New Jersey. Several sightings have been reported as it has moved from Camden County through five towns into Burlington County. Residents there want it captured and relocated but the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection says the bear is acting normal, not aggressive and they are not going to go out and get the bear "just for being a bear."

Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan continues to show signs of improvement following a deadly six-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition. Morgan, a former 'Saturday Night Live' and '30 Rock' star, was returning from a show at The Rollins Center at Dover Downs in Delaware at the time of the accident. A Burlington County man is under arrest and has been charged with killing his own mother. 44-year-old Herbert Rowlette is accused of killing his 71-year-old mother Maryanne Rowlette on Sunday, Father's Day. The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on the airplane crash that killed Lewis Katz and 6 others outside Boston on May 31st. The report indicated that the flight crew did not perform a flight control check prior to taking off. It also indicated that there may have been a problem with the mechanical gust lock system.
