Ebola caused the death of a United Nations medical worker last night at a hospital in Germany. The 56 year old man was infected with Ebola in Liberia and died despite “intensive medical procedures†at the hospital. The man tested positive on October 6th and 41 other UN staff members who may have had contact with him are now under close medical observation.

Police are investigating after they say a man was shot four times in Northeast Philadelphia Monday night at the 7000 block of Castor Avenue. Philadelphia Police say the man was shot in the leg, arm, shoulder and suffered a graze wound to the head. He was taken to Aria Health Torresdale Campus in critical condition. An investigation is underway.

Philadelphia International Airport does not have any direct flights that arrive from West Africa and it is not one of the 5 U.S. airports designated by the Department of Homeland for additional Ebola screenings. The Eagles stole the game from the Giants, and a fan stole a prosthetic leg from an amputee. Sonny Forriest Jr. has been singing outside Eagles' games for several years now. At around 8:30 pm a woman appearing to be in her 20's ran off with Forriest's leg. Luckily, the prosthetic leg was found at Olney Transportation Center roughly two hours after the incident occurred.

If you go to Eagles games, you may have seen Sonny. Sonny Forrest is a Viet Nam War Veteran who entertains fans from his wheelchair outside the Linc. Before last night’s game with the Giants, an intoxicated woman jumped into his lap, broke his microphone and stole his prosthetic leg. Sonny did make it into the game. Patricia Davenport from a small suburb outside of Philadelphia was arrested Wednesday for felony drug counts. The woman used her children as a way to score heroin in North Philly. Davenport would get high with her 16 year-old daughter while her 8 year-old son watched. Davenport is being held in the county jail awaiting trial.

Philadelphia Police have arrested two homeless men in connection with several recent bike thefts in the city. The first thefts came on October 4th and 5th from a garage at 201 South 18th Street in Rittenhouse Square. They stole a total of 4 bicycles. Ebola is nothing to joke about - especially on an airplane. A US Airways flight from Philadelphia to Punta Cana was delayed for two hours after a passenger yelled out that he had been to Africa and had the Ebola virus. Panic among some passengers followed as the plane was isolated on the runway and boarded by the CDC in hazmat suits (pictured) and removed the passenger. It turned out the man was joking. But the airline had to follow proper CDC procedure.
