Eagles Shutout NY Giants 27-0, Phillies Digital Tickets, Prosthetic Leg Stolen From Vet at Linc

LeSean McCoy, Nick Foles and the Eagles' showed up, along with a stout defense in pounding the Giants, 27-0, Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles enter the bye week sharing first place with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East and they're one of two teams in the NFC with 5-1 records, and one of three overall in the NFL (the San Diego Chargers being the other). The shutout was the Eagles first over the Giants since a 24-0 win on Dec. 1, 1996 at the Vet. Entering the game, Eli Manning had only been sacked six times this season. The Eagles sacked him six times—five in the first half (Connor Barwin three sacks, Vinny Curry two sacks, and Trent Cole with the other).

It seems everything is going digital these days, and Phillies tickets are no exception. The Phillies are nudging their season ticket holders to renew with e-tickets next year, as opposed to a delivery of paper tickets. In two or three years, the team will migrate nearly all tickets to a digital form. Fans will use home-printed tickets, or scan a bar code from their cell phones to get into the ballpark. Digital or paper, tickets will be the same price as they were this season.

Police are looking for a woman who stole the prosthetic leg of a disabled Vietnam war veteran in a wheelchair outside of Lincoln Financial Field Sunday during the Eagles game with the New York Giants. The victim, Sonny Forriest Jr., who performs for fans outside of the Linc during home Eagles games, tells police he was singing when a group of women surrounded him and one of them took his prosthetic leg that was secured to the back of his motorized wheelchair, and it was his birthday. Police say the leg was found several hours later at the Olney Transportation Center and was returned to Forriest.
