Police in Mount Laurel, New Jersey were on high alert this morning after a threat at a local middle school. Students and staff were checked before entering the building at Harrington Middle school. According to police, someone made a threat against the school around 9:00 p.m. last night. Police searched the building, but found nothing. Apparently similar threats were made at other school districts throughout New Jersey Monday evening.

Police are investigating after a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times in North Philadelphia. Authorities say he was dropped off at Temple University Hospital by a private vehicle, and the vehicle then left the hospital. Police believe the shooting took place at 11th Street and Indiana Avenue around midnight.

Two people have been arrested in connection with a man found dead inside a suitcase near Philadelphia International Airport last month. 41-year-old Scott Bernheisel was found stuffed inside a suitcase by a man walking his dog in Tinicum Township on May 28th. Police determined that Bernheisel was beaten to death inside a home on the 200 block of Wilder Street back on May 22nd. A naked man led authorities on a chase through Lake Luxembourg in Bucks County. The man had been in the emergency room at St. Mary’s Hospital about 100 yards from the lake. It’s not clear why, but families picnicking by the lake got quite a show as the man lost his gown and swam about a mile before rangers were able to sedate the man with a syringe and pull him into a boat.

New York state has issued a $100,000 reward for two murderers who escaped from a maximum-security prison in upstate New York. At 5:30 a.m. Sunday, 48-year-old Richard Matt and 34-year-old David Sweat were missing from bed check at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, NY. A ceremony was held today to mark the second anniversary of the building collapse tragedy that killed six and hurt a dozen more at 22nd and Market Streets. On June 5, 2013 a wall of a building being demolished came crashing down on the adjacent Salvation Army thrift store full of shoppers and employees. An off-duty Philadelphia police officer shot and killed a would be robber last night at a Pizza Shop on Rising Sun Avenue. The off duty, plain clothes cop was ordering at the counter of Rising Sun Pizza Shop when two men entered the store, held a gun to his head, robbed him of $20 and told him to lie on the floor.
