Philadelphia Police are looking for a man wanted for using his dog to attack another man at a North Philadelphia gas station early Tuesday morning, 3/3. It happened around midnight on the 2900 block of North Broad Street. The suspect pulled up to the pump in a maroon Toyota SUV. The warning period for being caught on camera speeding through work zones on Pennsylvania highways is now over. Starting Wednesday, 3/4, drivers can be fined when caught driving 11 mph over the posted work zone speed limit in an active zone. The first violation will merit a warning. The second will be a $75 fine and subsequent violations will be $150 fines. Police have identified the woman killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Route 1 Superhighway in Bucks County early Monday morning, 3/2. 29-year-old Alexandra Ridgway was walking along or trying to cross the southbound lanes of Rt. 1 near Neshaminy High School in Middletown Township when she was struck by multiple vehicles. A strong odor in Center City caused many people to evacuate their buildings on Monday morning, 3/2. The Philadelphia Fire Department cannot confirm initial reports that the odor came from the refinery. The cause of the odor remains undetermined.
