| Philadelphia Police are looking for a suspect wanted for raping a woman at gunpoint on a subway platform early Monday morning, 7/18. It happened around 4:30 a.m. at the Snyder station of the Broad Street Line on the 2100 block of S. Broad Street. | A man has been arrested for beating his elderly mother to death inside her Roxborough home on Sunday, 7/17. 59-year-old Gary Johnson is charged with murder and possessing an instrument of crime. Police responded around 1 p.m. to the 4200 block of Houghton Street. 96-year-old Bertha Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. She was suffering from blunt force trauma to the head and body.
