Someone in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field threw a bouquet of flowers in the direction of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni as he walked off the field an into the tunnel on Sunday evening, 11/7. The stunt did get Sirianni's attention, but he was ushered along by security before engaging any more with the fans. Sweeney has represented New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District in the Senate since 2002 and has led the chamber as President since 2010. Democratic Governor Phil Murphy has won reelection in New Jersey. The race for governor was too close to call as votes continued to be counted on all day on Wednesday, 11/3. Murphy and challenger Republican Jack Ciattarelli were in a dead heat, separated by less than a percentage point. A senior student at La Salle College High School died suddenly on Saturday night, 10/30. Blake Barklage suffered sudden cardiac arrest. The Philadelphia 76ers have released their City Edition uniforms for the 2021-22 season. It pays homage to the Spectrum, 'America's Showplace,' which was the team's home from 1967 to 1996. Transit Union Workers Local 234 represents around 5,000 city transit workers that operate buses, trains, and trolleys in Philadelphia. SEPTA Strike or Not, Philly Schools Open; Mother + Baby Shot; Man Stabbed in Wells Fargo Center Lot

The School District of Philadelphia announced on Thursday, 10/28, that schools will remain open on a normal schedule regardless of any possible SEPTA strike on Monday, November 1. If a strike does happen, any student who cannot make it to school because of transportation issues will be expected to login to Google Classroom for assignments and engage in asynchronous learning daily.
