Wildwood Defends Tram Car Phrase; Black Madam Apology; Parents Plead Guilty in Starvation |

"Watch the Tram Car please." The Jersey shore town that made that phrase famous, Wildwood, wants to keep other shore towns from using it. Wildwood has sent a cease and desist letter to an Atlantic City tram car operator who is using not only the same phrase, but the actual recording that plays in the cars in Wildwood. The phrase has been used in tram cars in the Wildwoods since 1949.

The New Jersey Assembly Thursday passed a series of bills aimed at helping Atlantic City through its ongoing financial crisis in light of last year's closures of four casinos and the subsequent loss of 8,000 jobs. Padge Victoria Windslowe, aka Black Madam, was sentenced today in Philadelphia court for the death of a dancer who died while receiving silicone buttocks injections at an airport hotel and injuring others. Windslowe received 10-20 years in state prison and 6 years probation. There was a possible sighting of two escaped prisoners this morning at 30th Street station in Philadelphia. A cab driver reported dropping off two people who looked like David Sweat and Richard Matt who escaped maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility last week. The sighting has not been confirmed yet as police are reviewing surveillance footage.

The National Transportation Safety Board has issued an update into it's investigation into the deadly crash of Amtrak 188 on May 12th in Philadelphia. Through analysis of the train engineer's phone, cell tower transmission records, and Amtrak's on board wi-fi system they have determined that no phone calls, texts, or data was transmitted during the time the engineer was operating the train. A suburban Philadelphia mother accused of having sex with a 17-year-old soccer player has been placed on five years' probation after pleading guilty. Forty-two-year-old Iris Gibney of Pottstown told the judge that she made a "horrible decision." And has been in therapy since she was arrested in November. She was found having sex with the youth in a car at a Pottstown park. She met the teenager at a high school football game while volunteering with her daughter's cheerleading squad.

A driver led police on a wild chase late Tuesday night that ended with a big crash in Philadelphia. It began in Bensalem, when a driver led police on a pursuit onto I-95 and into Northeast Philadelphia, eventually ending when the suspect crashed the vehicle. Police have arrested two suspects. No injuries have been reported, and it's unclear right now what prompted the chase.

A man was arrested today for the robbery of a Bank of America branch in Plymouth Meeting on June 3rd. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fired a shot into the bank as he was leaving. Surveillance footage of the suspect was released to the public. The man was arrested at his home near New Hope Street and Fornace Street in Norristown. They found the gun hidden among some toys. His identity will be released when he is formally charged.
