Pennsylvania State Police used shotguns to deflate the runaway Army surveillance blimp that broke loose from its mooring in Maryland and came to rest in some trees in North-central Pennsylvania. The 243-foot long craft was tethered at Aberdeen Proving Ground and came free early yesterday afternoon. It caused power outages as its tether got caught it power lines along its way. Philadelphia Police are looking for help from the public in locating a missing 15-year-old boy with autism. Kalis Adams (pictured) left his home on the 6200 block of Carpenter Street in Cobbs Creek after an argument with his siblings. An unmanned Army surveillance blimp broke free from its tether at a military base in Maryland this afternoon and was floating aimlessly north over Pennsylvania this afternoon causing power outages as it's cable dragged over power lines. Chester County Police say that the man who flipped his car into a pond earlier this month, killing himself and his brother, had a blood alcohol content nearly five times the legal limit. 52-year-old Thomas McAleer was behind the wheel around 4:30 pm on October 2nd driving on Glenn Avenue in Berwyn. The Fairmount Welcome Center that resembles a flying saucer in Love Park caught fire overnight. Fire crews were on the scene at about 3 a.m. Crews faced heavy smoke coming from the welcome center. Aided by sprinkler systems, the fire was placed under control in half an hour. The fire was primarily located in the basement area. No injuries were reported. An investigation is underway.
