| Philadelphia Police are investigating after a casket containing human infant organs was discovered on a sidewalk in North Philadelphia. The child-size casket was found by passers-by on the 3100 block of West Clearfield Street around 9 p.m. Officers opened the casket to find a bag of organs but no body. | Police have now placed a suspect in custody after he stabbed a man and created a barricade situation in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia on Monday. The incident took place on the 2500 block of North Stanley Street at around 4:20 pm. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia on Saturday. The shooting took place at around 4:45 pm on Orianna and Cumberland Streets. Police arrived on the scene to find a 21-year-old man shot twice in the stomach. The man was taken to Temple University Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. The fare increase was approved by the board back in May and will effect all means of transportation. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed a bill on Wednesday legalizing the sale of handheld sparklers and novelty items, just in time for the 4th of July holiday. Anyone 16 and older will now be able to legally purchase handheld and ground-based sparkers and well as novelty items such as party poppers and snappers.
