The trial of 21-year-old daycare worker Christina Regusters was set to begin today but was delayed until next week after two jurors dropped out and to allow the defense to go over new evidence. Regusters is accused a kidnapping a 5-year-old Philadelphia girl from her classroom and sexually assaulting her. Prosecutors asked the judge to include video evidence of Japanese torture anime they say Regusters frequently viewed to establish motive. The judge denied that request, however he could revisit that decision. Prosecutors can present computer evidence showing that the defendant searched for Muslim clothing and how to destroy DNA. They can also bring up past allegations that she touched her cousin's daughter. The now 7-year-old victim plans to testify in court as well. The trial is now set to begin on Monday at 9 a.m.

There are some delays on the east- and westbound trains on the Market-Frankford line after a man fell onto the tracks this afternoon. Around 4:40 pm a 36-year-old male fell on the tracks at the Somerset Station in Kensington. He became caught underneath a Market-Frankford El train. Fire and rescue units were called to the scene. The man was taken to Temple University Hospital. There is no word on his condition. Train service reopened at 5:20 pm. Riders can expect residual delays.

Police in South Jersey have arrested a priest for sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy on two occasions. Mercer County police arrested 67-year-old Reverend Romannilo Apura at his home at Saint Martha Parish in Point Pleasant, NJ, this morning. The first incident happened in the late spring of this year at a home in Trenton. The second incident happened in June 2014. Officials with the Diocese of Trenton learned of the incidents on Monday and immediately turned them over to police. Apura is charged with one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, one count of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and one count of fourth-degree attempt to commit criminal sexual contact. He has been suspended by the Diocese. Apura is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center on $100,000 bail.
