One day after Mayor Michael Nutter's office agreed to add $10,000 to the reward for the arrest and conviction of the abductors who took the 5-year-old Nailla Robinson from her kindergarten class at Bryant Elementary in West Philadelphia, other groups have stepped up to raise the reward to $75,000. Others putting money in the reward fund include $30,000 from the Office of State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams, $10,000 from the NAACP and Black Clergy, $10,000 from Local 332 Laborers District Council and $5,000 each from US Marshalls and FOP Lodge #5.

A Ridley Park woman pleaded guilty to bilking her company out of more than $660,000. Laura Rogers-Fisher worked for Sho Aids of Sharon Hill that provides set up displays for corporate conventions. She used the money for trips and tuition paid for her son’s education at the Haverford School and Brown University. A ten year employee with the company, she faked work orders and cost several employees their jobs. She was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in state prison.

The Philadelphia Gun Show scheduled this weekend is still on. Despite cancellation of show in Harrisburg over the gun control debate, the show scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the National Guard Armory will go on as scheduled and feature semi-automatic weapons. The show’s promoter, Appalachian Promotions says there was never a thought to postpone or cancel the show. According to the promoter, it is legal and no different than a boat show.

Weather
Light snow ending tonight will leave an inch or two. 18 in Center City.
