Four Taken Into Custody in Nailla Robinson Kidnapping case

Police have taken four people into custody this afternoon in connection with the abduction of 5-year-old Nailla Robinson last month. Authorities are also executing a search warrant on a house on the 6200 block of Walton Avenue in West Philadelphia in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood. Police questioned three women from that same exact house and took evidence for DNA testing last week.

UPDATE: Regusters Guilty on All Charges

UPDATE: Christina Regusters has been officially indicted by a grand jury on April 28th. Her arraignment will be May 20th.

UPDATE: A 19-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, conspiracy, aggravated assault, rape, and related offenses. She has been identified as Christina Regusters. Regusters was first questioned last week and works at the daycare where Robinson goes after school. The other three are still being questioned and have not been charged or arrested yet. They include Regusters' aunt, her aunt's boyfriend, and her 15-year-old boy cousin.

UPDATE: Regusters is being held on $4 million bail. The other three have been released without any charges.

The young girl was taken from her kindergarden classroom at Bryant Elementary on January 14th and blindfolded before being led to a nearby house. She later escaped and was found early the next morning in a playground in Upper Darby. Last week detectives, operating on a anonymous tip, took the girl to this street 5 blocks from her school where she recognized an alley and the back of this house. They also found a talking parrot in the house that the girl described to detectives.

It is not clear if the people in custody are under arrest at this point or are simply being questioned by the Special Victims Unit. It is believed they are the woman who posed as her mother dressed in Muslim garb that took Nailla from school, the man that met them at the house and abused the girl, a teenage boy who lives at the house who's involvement is unknown, and a teenage girl who helped Nailla escape to the park.

Some of the possible evidence linking this particular house to the crime includes DNA on the t-shirt Nailla was discovered wearing when she was found in Upper Darby. Also, a 19-year-old resident of the house works at the after-school daycare that she attends.

Reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nailla's abductors has risen to $100,000.
