| Former Phillies' Shortstop Jimmy Rollins just signed a minor league deal with the San Fransisco Giants. The Giants will be his third team in three years after spending 15 years on the Phillies. The Phillies traded Rollins back in December of 2014 for a pair of minor league players. Since then Rollins has been on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox. | The Phillies have now signed center fielder Odubel Herrera to a five-year contract that will last through the 2021 season. The Phillies acquired Herrera back in 2014 in the Rule 5 draft from of the Texas Rangers. This past 2016 season Herrera batted a .286 ERA, with 21 doubles, six triples, 15 home runs, 87 runs and 25 stolen bases. Herrera also was selected to be on the National League All-Star team.
