Gloucester Man Faces Child Porn Charges, Rhawnhurst Fire, PYT Shooter Found |

After an investigation involving Homeland Security, a Gloucester Township man was arrested and faces child porn charges. Authorities are warning the public he may have also worked as a babysitter. Camden County authorities arrested 31-year-old Wayne Drawdy, who now faces charges of having child pornography and the intent to distribute.

Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge M. Teresa Sarmina granted conditional approval to a plan that would place Monsignor William Lynn on house arrest pending sentencing August 13th. He was found guilty of one count of child endangerment. He will remain in prison until July 5th, though, so that his lawyers can answer to what might happen if he were to flea. The Pennsylvania SPCA is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who doused a young pit bull with gasoline and then set it on fire. The dog, named Chloe, died about an hour after being taken to an animal hospital. Chloe was found Sunday on the 700 block of Gray Street in East Germantown, suffering from severe burns. As Jerry Sandusky insisted through a lawyer Monday that he is not guilty of sexually abusing children, a juror who voted to convict the retired Penn State assistant coach said she hoped the verdict would help his accusers heal. Sandusky is under observation at the Centre County jail, where he is being kept away from other inmates pending a psychological review that will help determine the next step toward his sentencing in about three months.

The Supreme Court ruled this morning that it is unconstitutional to sentence juveniles to life in prison without a chance of parole. The high court split 5-4 in it's decision that such life sentences for minors violate the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment. The decision takes into account scientific brain studies that say juveniles are more likely to commit crimes without thinking of the consequences, but are also more likely to respond to rehabilitation. Police say four people were injured in a shooting Sunday night at Kemble Park near Ogontz and Olney Avenues in Philadelphia during a basketball game. Police say three men and one woman were all taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center. All four victims are listed in stable condition.

The Boil Water Alert for residents of Camden living west of the Cooper River serviced by United Water that has been in effect since Thursday has been lifted. The mandatory non-essential water use restriction has also been lifted.
Both alerts were put into place on Thursday after water levels and pressure reached critically low levels and quality was unsafe for consumption.
