One of the two survivors of the bombing of the MOVE house on Osage Avenue in West Philadelphia has died. Michael Moses Ward, a.k.a. “Birdie Africa,†was found unresponsive in a hot tub aboard the cruise ship “Carnival Dream†last Friday. He was 41. His death is not believed to be suspicious but autopsy results are still pending. Hugh Douglas is in trouble again. The former Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman was arrested for assaulting a woman in Hartford, Connecticut yesterday. Court documents say Douglas "grabbed her by the neck" and "slammed her into the walls." Douglas told investigators her injuries "happened during rough sex."

The Delaware State Police have activated an amber alert for the New Castle County Police Department. The New Castle County police are investigating the possible abduction of 10-12 year old white female. It happened around 6:30 pm on Albion Drive in the Whispering Pines Townhomes community of Newark. The University of Delaware Rugby Team has been suspended for five years following a disorderly party in Newark. Newark Police say officers responded to a disorderly party in the 400 block of South College Avenue on September 9th. They arrested both the residents for disorderly premises and some other related charges. While officers were dispersing the disorderly crowd, police say the mob began blocking traffic on South College Avenue and walking on the hoods of cars.

The NCAA announced today that it will gradually restore football scholarships to Penn State after they were taken away following the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Five scholarships will be restored next year and more will phased in each year until they are back to normal in 2016-17. The NCAA is acting on a report by former Sen. Roy Halladay may have pitched his last game in a Phillies uniform last night. Halladay was pulled from the game in the first inning after throwing only 16 pitches. Sweating profusely, Halladay struggle to find the strike zone and his pitches topped out at 83 mph. Halladay said he’s been battling arm fatigue since surgery in May and also revealed a dietary illness that he has been struggling with.

Two Coatesville school administrators resigned three weeks ago over racially charged text messages and the District Attorney's office has launched a criminal investigation. Superintendent Richard Como resigned his $175,000 per year job. Athletic Director James Donato also stepped down. The Daily Local News reports it uncovered several pages of text messages on school issued phones that included racially charged conversations using the n-word 12 times in one conversation.

Philadelphia police say a man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest and right arm Sunday in North Philadelphia. It happened near the intersection of 5th and Huntington Streets.
