SEPTA announced today that they will not resume selling the special Regional Rail passes for the upcoming visit by Pope Francis for the remainder of this week. The system set up to take orders for the special Papal Passes was overwhelmed with traffic on Monday morning and had to be shut down shortly after it was launched. A guilty plea is expected from one of the men accused in a deadly Center City building collapse. Crane operator Sean Benschop's lawyer says he will plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges at a hearing Tuesday. Six people died in June 2013 when a brick wall being demolished fell onto the roof of a Salvation Army thrift store. SEPTA has suspended online sales of special passes for Regional Rail service during Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia in September due to technical problems. SEPTA had load tested the website over the weekend for 1,700 hits per seconds and expected a high volume of traffic when the passes went on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, but the actual traffic today was significantly higher and the servers couldn't keep up. The body of a young woman was found beaten and strangled inside her West Philadelphia apartment on Thursday afternoon. 27-year-old Jasmine Wright was found in her third floor unit on the 200 block of South 50th Street after a property manager checked on her at the request of her father. Philadelphia Police and the FBI have now released photos of the suspect involved in a robbery in Old City this morning. at the TD Bank at 399 Market Street just before 8 am. The male suspect entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. The Christie Administration has threatened for months to take shore homeowners to court if they did not grant easements for formation of a statewide network of dunes to protect against the next major storm. On Thursday, eminent domain actions were filed against the owners of two homes — one in Ship Bottom, the other in Ocean City. Four marines were killed in attacks on two separate military facilities a few miles apart in Chattanooga, TN, on Thursday by a lone gunman. The gunman was killed during a shootout at the second facility. He has been identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, a naturalized US citizen from Kuwait. After two bicyclists (pictured) were photographed riding rented Indego bikes on I-676 this week, there is discussion about signage at entrance ramps. The two likely ended up on the busy highway by mistake. The two helmetless riders probably entered 676 West at 8th street, confusing the two lanes there where one is for local traffic into Chinatown and the other dumps straight onto the highway.
