Pope Francis landed safely in Washington D.C. yesterday afternoon for his first visit to the United States. He was greeted on the tarmac by a throng of supporters and dignitaries including President Barack Obama and his wife Michele. After a busy two days, the Pope heads to New York and then arrives in Philadelphia on Saturday morning.

The World Meeting of Families is hoping to appear in the Guinness Book of World Records by the end of the week. It has been months in the making and many hands have played a part in finishing a special mural commemorating the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia. The Lit Brothers Building, now called the Lits Building, is lighting up 7th to 8th and Market Streets. 484 color-changing LEDs illuminate the hundreds of windows, while 19 spotlights provide the columns with a gradient fill. It's brighter by the street, dimmer near the giant digital screens mounted along the roofline. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court unanimously voted on Monday to suspend the law license of Attorney General Kathleen Kane as she fights criminal charges. Kane is accused of leaking grand jury information to a newspaper and lying about it under oath in front of another grand jury. The order for suspension should not be construed as removal from office, but it may prompt efforts to have her removed. Police are investigating a stabbing overnight at an apartment complex in Upper Darby, Delaware County. It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Providence Manor Apartments along the 800 block of Providence Road. Police say one person was stabbed and taken to the hospital in unknown condition. There was no immediate word on a suspect or an arrest.
