A teenage girl learning to drive with her mother accidentally struck and killed two men in a Philadelphia parking lot on Monday night, 6/4. It happened around 8:45 p.m. outside the Dollar Tree store on the 3600 block of Aramingo Avenue in Port Richmond. The 15-year-old driver was at the wheel of an SUV and was pulling straight ahead into a parking spot. The officers who were involved in the violent arrest of Philadelphia woman caught on tape on a Wildwood beach over Memorial Day weekend will not face criminal charges. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said that his office reviewed both the Wildwood police body-cam footage and footage shot by a beachgoer. They also reviewed statements from witnesses. The 30-year-old woman who fell into Pennypack Creek and drowned in Northeast Philadelphia on Saturday night, 6/2, has been identified. Rebecca Bunting and her boyfriend were taking photographs near Lexington and Brous Avenues around 6 p.m. They were in a storm drain by Roosevelt Boulevard when flash flooding washed them both into the creek. Medford Township Police have arrested a man wanted for a road rage incident back in February where he brandished a bat. 46-year-old Christopher Cahall of Delran is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. One of four peacocks that escaped from the Philadelphia Zoo on Wednesday evening, 5/30, has been found dead. Zoo officials say the bird most likely was hit by a car. The flock roams freely on the grounds of the zoo and sometimes wanders away but always comes back.
