Pennsylvania Democrats on Tuesday tapped millionaire businessman Tom Wolf as their nominee to challenge Republican Gov. Tom Corbett after Wolf dug deep into his own pocket to finance months of folksy TV ads that catapulted him to the top of a four-way race. Returns from nearly 70 percent of the state's precincts showed Wolf with 58 percent of the vote, ahead of U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, state Treasurer Rob McCord and former state environmental protection secretary Katie McGinty.

Pennsylvania's Defense of Marriage act was overturned by a federal judge on Tuesday, effectively lifting the state's ban on same-sex marriage. U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III's ruling was in response to a challenge to the 1996 DOM law brought by a group of 23 Pennsylvania residents who were supported by the ACLU. Jones ruled the ban was unconstitutional because it denied equal protection and benefits to same-sex couples. Pennsylvania becomes the 19th state and last in the Northeast... Read More |

There is absolutely no money left to be made by a record label because, yes no one is buying records anymore. But there will always be a market for recorded music. How do you think those songs you stream on Spotify or Pandora got there? The Majors control all of the streaming services and... Read More |
