| An elderly woman is now in the hospital after being attacked by two dogs in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened on the 5800 block of Brush Road at around 3:40 pm on Wednesday. Police responded to a call of a person screaming and arrived on the scene to find a 96-year-old woman who was unresponsive suffering from multiple bites on her arm and face. | A New Jersey man has died from injuries sustained when a 50 lb dumbbell came crashing through his windshield while traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike two weeks ago. 75-year-old Jack DeCarlo of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, died on Tuesday. East Fallowfield Township resident Mark Uschold has been placed into police custody in connection with the dog kidnapping. It happened around dawn in front of two homes on the 700 block of Brooke Road in Glenside, Cheltenham Township. | A Philadelphia sheriff's lieutenant who was severely injured in an elevator accident in Center City over the summer is leaving the hospital and going home. Philadelphia Sheriff Lt. Paul Owens was riding in a court staff elevator at the Criminal Justice Center on the morning of August 4th. The elevator malfunctioned and the car crashed through the roof of the elevator shaft.
