Rutgers University paid Jersey Shore TV star "Snooki" $32,000 to speak to students, while the school is paying Nobel Prize winning author, Toni Morrison $2,000 LESS to deliver Rutgers commencement address in May. Radiation from Japan has apparently reached Pennsylvania. According to the Department of Environmental Protection, air sampling was conducted in Harrisburg over an eight day period and shows higher than normal levels of radiation in the air, but still far below any danger level. Philadelphia public school officials feel that the state government is bullying the district into a $629 million dollar budget shortfall created largely by slashed state support.
