1 Killed, 108 Injured Hoboken Train Crash; Arrest in Wilmington Fire; SEPTA Resumes Regular Schedule

1 person was killed and 108 were injured when a New Jersey Transit train crashed full force into the Hoboken station this morning. It happened at 8:45 a.m. when train #1614 struck the Hoboken Terminal building on track 5. The train went through the barriers and into the station building itself causing extensive structural damage. Philadelphia Police shot a suspect Wednesday night who apparently stabbed two children in West Philadelphia. The incident happened at a home around 7 pm on the 6200 block of Hazel Avenue. The suspect stabbed the children in the house, and then fled the home. Police found the suspect near Cobbs Creek Parkway and Webster Street, and opened fire on him wounding him multiple times, he was then rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. SEPTA Announces Subway Ticket Kiosks, PPA Director Resigns, Teen Gunman Opens Fire in SC

SEPTA announced today that it will start to let riders pay with debit and credit cards for single subway or El rides at new kiosks being put up in stations. Riders will now be able to pay at the kiosks and receive a one-way ticket that can be used on the Broad Street or Market Frankford lines. If riders cannot pay with a debit or credit card, they can still pay with cash at the kiosks and receive change from them as well. The cost of the ticket will be $2.25. SEPTA said they have... A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Reading on Sunday night and police are trying to figure out who did it. Reading High School sophomore Christian Torres died on the 1100 block of Locust Street around 8:30 p.m. Supposedly a fight broke out because someone was wearing a clown mask. Recent reports of bizarre clown sightings have only confused the investigation. False Gunman Report at Willow Grove Mall, Smoke on SEPTA Train, Funeral Services for DE Firefighters

Police were called to the Willow Grove Park Mall Tuesday after a man was reportedly spotted with a gun inside of the mall. Police showed up to the mall at 6:30 pm on the 2500 block of West Moreland. Once on the scene, police discovered the gunman report to be false. It turned out just to be a man carrying a cell phone which was mistaken for a gun. With the threat of a gunman, some businesses in the mall were on lockdown for precaution.

Shooting In Strawberry Mansion, PennDOT Announces Improvements, PPA Director Suspended

Police are now investigating a shooting that happened in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia today. At around 2:30 pm on the 2300 block of North 26th Street a 22-year-old man was shot, once in the stomach and a 27-year-old woman was shot once in the right leg. Both were taken into Temple University Hospital, where the 22-year-old man has been listed in critical condition. So far no arrests have been made.

The Philadelphia Zoo has announced that the new baby gorilla is a girl and has launched an online poll for the public to vote on her name. The lowland gorilla was born last month, but since she was being held so closely by her mother, 21-year-old Honi, zoo staff could not determine her sex. The baby's father is 31-year-old Motuba. A vendor was kicked out of a fair in Bloomsburg after visitors of the fair had brought up complaints because he was selling nazi flags. The vendor, Lawrence Betsinger, had a nazi flag displayed outside of his booth. A photo was posted to the fair's Facebook page on Monday displaying the flag outside his booth. Officials removed the nazi flag from his booth and let Betsinger stay operating. He later replaced it with a Confederate flag, causing the fair officials to shut his booth down... Read More

Police are now investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Sunday night in Burlington County. 37-year-old Norman Mosley who lived in Alfred Drive, in the Brown Mills section of Pemberton Township was shot in his house after two men wearing masks broke in after 10 pm. Mosley was rushed to Deborah hospital by someone who was with him in the house. He was pronounced dead shortly after 11 pm.
