10 Recommendations Being Presented

1) Establish a centralized, permanent Philadelphia Music Office or Commission to continue the work initiated by the Music Industry Task Force.

2) Develop an awareness campaign for fair compensation for working musicians.

3) Identify sources of funding for sustained, dedicated efforts to grow Philadelphia's music economy.

4) Develop and create a museum/cultural center in the Sigma Sound building to celebrate our rich music history passed and present.

5) Market the strengths of Philadelphia's rich musical history and the current boom of music venues and artists.

6) Promote Philadelphia music in the City's transportation hubs, such as Philadelphia International Airport and 30th Street Station.

7) Establish Performing Arts priority loading and unloading Zones (temporary parking areas at certain concert performance venues that will allow artists to quickly load in and out of the venues without receiving parking tickets).

8) Create hubs for music and concert promotion material distribution.

9) Encourage music performance venues to cater to all ages.

10) Utilize the City's zoning and community development policies to benefit the music industry.

**Please Note: Arrive no later than 9:30 AM at the Northeast corner of City Hall (across from the Masonic Temple). *There will be people handing out signs and T-shirts.*

**Only those testifying will be allowed into City Council Chambers during the hearing, but filing the hallways and the Northeast corner outside of City Hall with Philly's music community will be super important to secure the votes!**
