A teacher's aide in Bucks County has been arrested for sexually assaulting a male student. 38-year-old Jennilynne M. Derolf is charged with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, and institutional sexual assault and misdemeanor counts of indecent assault and corruption of minors. Derolf is an aide at the Valley Day School where the 14-year-old boy was a student. Police began investigating on Tuesday, 7/13, after the boy's grandmother learned of the inappropriate relationship. The boy told police that he and Derolf began messaging on a cell phone app. He said that they had intercourse three times in July, twice near Levittown Lake in Tullytown Borough and once near a baseball field in Bristol Township. Derolf is being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $900,000 bail.

"The defendant's conduct is not only reprehensible, but criminal," Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said. "She not only violated the trust required in any student teacher relationship, but also that trust that children should be able to have in all adults of authority. She will be held accountable for her criminal acts."

A woman has filed a lawsuit against the Delaware State Police after a case of mistaken identity led to her being pulled from her car by armed officers. It happened around 5:30 p.m. on June 24 on South Heald Street in Wilmington. 20-year-old Martiayana Watson was leaving the BP gas station when she was surrounded by several unmarked patrol cars. Plainclothes officers broke the driver's side rear window and she was pulled from the vehicle with a taser to her neck. The police soon realized they had the wrong person and simply left Watson there with her damaged car. "The cops were looking for a dark grey Nissan Maxima connected to a robbery and I believe Marty's vehicle is a light grey Nissan Altima,” attorney Renee Leverette said.

A teen is under arrested after stealing a police cruiser, leading police on a chase, and eventually crashing in Chester County on Friday, 7/16. Coatesville Polcie responded to a domestic disturbance on West 5th Avenue before noon. 19-year-old Alex Thompson was reportedly being uncooperative before stealing a patrol car and taking off. Police chased him down Lincoln Highway. He crashed into another vehicle near the VA Medical Center around noon. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital. Charges are pending.
