Man Shot/Killed in Cherry Hill; 3yo Girl Falls in Septic Tank and Dies; Phillies Capacity Now 11,000

A Delaware man was shot and killed at a Cherry Hill, NJ, apartment complex early Easter morning, 4/4. It happened around 4:30 a.m. in a parking lot at the Sergi Farms Apartments on the 1700 block of Abbey Road. Police found 64-year-old Leopold McKoy from Bear, Delaware, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. If you have any information, call CCPO Det. Authorities are investigating after a young toddler died after falling into a septic tank at a Cape May County, New Jersey campground on Saturday night, 4/3. It happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the Sun Outdoors Cape May campground on the 600 block of Route 9 in the Erma section of Lower Township. Police arrived to find the 3-year-old girl unresponsive after just being pulled from the sewage tank. She was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The preliminary investigation indicates there are no signs of foul play. The cause and manner of death are pending the final autopsy report.

In Pennsylvania, starting Sunday, April 4, restaurants may resume bar service; alcohol service will be allowed without the purchase of food; the curfew for removing alcoholic drinks from tables will be lifted; and indoor dining capacity will be raised to 75 percent for those restaurants that are currently self-certified and those that undergo the self-certification process. Those restaurants that do not self-certify may raise capacity to 50 percent. Capacity for other businesses including personal services facilities, gyms and entertainment facilities (casinos, theatres, malls) will move to 75 percent occupancy. Mask-wearing, social distancing and business adherence to all safety orders are still imperative. These changes do not affect Philadelphia, which is not yet ready to let down restrictions. Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley has said that maybe by April 30 they move forward with similar changes.

The maximum occupancy of large outdoor venues across the state has been increased to 50%. However, Philadelphia only increased it from 20%-25%. The first two games of the Philadelphia Phillies 2021 season were played in front of close to the 8,800 fan limit (8,529 and 8,582). This Sunday, 11,000 fans were allowed in attendance. The official attendance was 10,773.

Gathering limits have also been expanded: Indoor = 25%, Outdoor = 50%
