A female substitute teacher in Burlington County, New Jersey, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage student. 41-year-old Kameelah Kareem of Willingboro is charged with second degree sexual assault and second degree endangering the welfare of a child. Kareem met the 15-year-old student while working as a substitute at the Alternative School at Bookbinder during the 2019-20 school year. Investigators say she interacted with the student on multiple occasions outside of school. She was taken into custody on Wednesday, 2/3, and released Thursday following a hearing. The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office says her case will be presented to a grand jury for possible indictment.

A teenage boy has been arrested for a double shooting that killed one teen girl and injured her sister on Friday night, 2/5, in Reading, Berks County. It happened around 10:45 p.m. on the 900 and 1000 blocks of Scott Street in the Oakbrook Homes neighborhood. The 14-year-old boy opened fire during an argument between the two sisters. A 16-year-old girl was shot and killed. The 17-year-old sister was shot in the leg. The boy was under supervision of juvenile probation for previous violent crimes. He will be charged as an adult with homicide and related offenses. His 15th birthday is next week according to Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams. He won't be identified until his formal arraignment. "It's horrific," Adams said. "He had no business having a gun, and in our investigation we will want to find out who gave him that gun."

A woman is dead and a man is critically injured after a house fire in Northwest Philadelphia early Saturday morning, 2/6. It happened around 5:45 a.m. on the 2400 block of 77th Avenue in the Stenton neighborhood. Firefighters arrived to heavy flames inside the house. It was brought under control in about 30 minutes. That is when rescuers found the two victims. A 76-year-old woman was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. A 61-year-old man was also rushed to the hospital. He is in critical, but stable condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation. This is the third deadly fire in Philadelphia this week.

Sports
ESPN is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to trade quarterback Carson Wentz "as early as this coming week." There are no details yet on potential teams and players involved. The Eagles are said to be looking for "a Matthew Stafford package," referring last weekend's trade between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams. The Lions sent Stafford to LA for QB Jared Goff plus two first round picks and a third round pick.
