| NJSIAA Releases Winter Sport Season Dates/Plans; Comm. Danielle Outlaw Isolating; DE Suspect Wanted |

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association released final plans for the upcoming winter sports seasons on Thursday, 11/19. Outlined in the plan are the various dates that practice are permitted to begin for each sport as well as competition start and end dates. Ice Hockey can begin practice on December 14. The other sports include Basketball, Fencing and Bowling on January 11; Swimming and Indoor Track & Field on February 1; and Gymnastics, Girls Volleyball, and Wrestling on March 1. The plans include guidelines for games, scrimmages, invitationals/tournaments, transfers, out-of-state competition, and post-season competition. Governor Phil Murphy issued Executive Order 196 on 11/16. The order restricts indoor gatherings to 10 persons. However, if that gathering is a sports practice or competition, the number of people can exceed 10 only if all extra persons are necessary to the event, such as players, coaches, and referees. Then, the number of individuals still may not exceed 25 percent of the capacity of the room or 150 people max. No spectators are allowed. The NJSIAA says it will release guidance on spring sports on December 11.
NJSIAA Sports Advisory Task Force - Winter Sports Return to Play
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw is self-quarantining after an employee assigned to her office tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19. Apparently, Outlaw was made aware of the positive case last Thursday, 11/12, and has been working from home since. She says she has been following all of the city's protocols.
Police in Delaware are searching for a woman who assaulted a person with a crowbar during a home invasion in Wilmington on Wednesday, 11/18. The Harrington Police Department has identified 20-year-old Destiny J. Santangelo of Marydel as the suspect. The home invasion happened on the 100 block of North West Street. A woman and two men kicked in the front door and entered the home. The female suspect assaulted one person with a crowbar and also assaulted a second occupant. Both occupants suffered minor injuries. Police identified Santangelo. They are working to identify the two male suspects. Warrants have been issued for Santangelo for burglary second degree, assault second degree, conspiracy second degree, offensive touching, criminal mischief under $1,000 and criminal trespass second degree. The Philadelphia Eagles have paced WRs JJ Arcega-Whiteside, John Hightower, and Deontay Burnett on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Reports say that Arcega-Whiteside tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19 on Thursday, 11/19, and was placed in quarantine. Contact tracing identified Burnett and Hightower as close contacts. They were also placed in self-isolation. The Eagles have not confirmed the identity of the players involved. The team says it is following all NFL-NFLPA protocols. The Eagles travel to Cleveland to play the Browns on Sunday at 1 p.m.
