The Philadelphia Department of Public Health recommended on Monday, 11/9, that anyone that has been around a large crowd of people recently should quarantine for 14 days. That would include residents who took part in post-election protests and/or celebrations, whether they were wearing a mask or not.
"This means that they should stay away from others who are not in their household and, if they absolutely have to be around others, give plenty of distance and wear a mask the entire time. Additionally, they should seek out COVID-19 testing seven days after the last day they were around a large crowd," the department said in a statement.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced on Monday, 11/9, that the state will be adding some restrictions due to the rising cases of coronavirus COVID-19. Starting Thursday, November 12, indoor dining must stop at 10 p.m. at all restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges. Outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery can continue past 10. Casinos may stay open, but food and drink service must stop between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Barside seating is prohibited. Also starting 11/12, all interstate youth games and tournaments are prohibited through the high school level.
Murphy tweeted, "The last thing I want to do is shut our economy back down. Thankfully, we're not at that point. We're taking steps today to mitigate the current increasing rate of spread. We MUST shake off pandemic fatigue & get back into the mindset that saw us crush the curve this spring." He also tweeted, "A second wave is here. This is our reality. We must redouble our efforts and recommit to the practices that have gotten us this far - social distancing, washing our hands, and wearing our masks."
Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was stabbed outside of a Center City hotel early Monday morning. It happened just after 3 a.m. outside the DoubleTree Hotel on the 200 block of South Broad Street. A 53-year-old man was stabbed in the arm. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition. Police arrested a man nearby at Juniper and Locust streets and are questioning him. No word on a motive for the attack.

With the win, the Union also took home the Supporters' Shield, given to the MLS team with the best regular season record (by points).
