SEPTA Officer Fights Man at Train Station; Suspects Wanted in Car Jacking; 3 Dead in Montco Shooting

A SEPTA Police Officer and a suspect were caught on cell phone camera engaging in a fist fight at the Allegheny station of the Market-Frankford El in Kensington on Monday morning, 9/14. The suspect was caught allegedly 'fare selling.' He was standing next to a turnstile and charging people to swipe them through the gate. He may have had a stolen, lost, or defective SEPTA Key card. The suspect ran off during the fight but police did catch and arrest him.

Authorities in Delaware County are searching for four suspects who were caught on camera attacking a man and stealing his car at a gas station earlier this month. It happened around 2:20 a.m. on September 1 at the Sunoco station on the 400 block of Baltimore Avenue in East Lansdowne. The incident was caught on surveillance video. The man was first attacked outside at the pumps by 3 men and 1 woman. They followed him into the store and attacked him again and grabbed his keys from his pocket. They drove off in his silver Infiniti. It was followed by a white Hyundai sedan driven by a Black female. If you have any information contact the East Lansdowne police at 610-259-2308.

Montgomery County officials are investigating a deadly shooting at a home in New Hanover Township on Monday night, 9/14. It happened just after 8 p.m. on the 2900 block of Reifsnyder Road near Angel Drive in the Gilbertsville section. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said that police arrived to find a man and a woman dead at the scene from apparent gun shot wounds. Another man was found shot and injured. He was transported to the hospital but he later died. Police say that the incident was domestic in nature. The victims identities have not been released. No arrests have been made.

UPDATE: The Montgomery County District Attorney's office has identified the victims. Officials are describing this is a double-murder suicide. 78-year-old Gerald E. Mihalcik shot and killed his son 56-year-old Stephen Mihalcik and daughter-in-law 51-year-old Rebecca Evans. He then shot and killed himself. Gerald and Rebecca were found dead at the scene. Stephen was taken to Reading Hospital where he later died.
