Democratic National Convention Aug. 17-20, 9-11pm EDT. How to Watch Live Stream Virtual Broadcast

The Democratic National Convention will be held virtually this week August 17 - 20, 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. nightly. Due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the usual large ceremonial convention will not be held in person as it was planned for Milwaukee this year. Four years ago, here in Philadelphia, protests took over the streets and roads were closed for days. Inside the Wells Fargo Center, thousands of delegates gathered to nominate Hillary Clinton. Early on in the convention there was even contention on the convention floor. All of that pomp and circumstance will be missing, including the balloons and confetti, from this year's virtual convention. The 2020 convention is still located in Milwaukee's Wisconsin Center, but there aren't many people there.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be accepting their respective presidential and vice presidential nominations remotely from Wilmington, DE. All of this year's scheduled speakers will be delivering their addresses remotely, some live and some prerecorded. Delegates from all of the states and territories will not be traveling Wisconsin. The party's platform issues have already been decided upon through online meetings a few weeks ago.

The Democratic National Convention will be held nightly Monday, 8/17, to Thurday, 8/20, from 9 p.m to 11 p.m. EDT. You can watch the convention on nearly every broadcast TV network or cable news channel. You can also STREAM the convention here on iradiophilly BELOW.

In addition to the political speakers each night, these musical artists have been announced as performers this week: John Legend, Leon Bridges, The Chicks, Common, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Porter, Maggie Rogers, Prince Royce, and Stephen Stills
