Man Asked to Wear Mask, Throws Hot Sauce; Oak Hill Terrace Fire; Episcopal Hospital Room Set on Fire

A man 'went on a rampage' after being asked to wear a mask by a grocery store employee in Bucks County on Saturday morning, 5/23. It happened at an Acme in Feasterville, Southampton Township. The man entered the store without a mask. An employee approached and asked the man to wear a face covering while inside the supermarket. Police say the man began throwing items including a bottle of hot sauce at the employee. You can see a surveillance image of the suspect released by police. He is a while male, 30s, wearing a red shirt, white shorts, and sandals. If you recognize this person or have any information, contact Lower Southampton Police at 215-357-1234.

A two-alarm fire at an apartment complex on the Main Line displaced 150 residents early Sunday morning. It happened around 2:15 a.m. at the Oak Hill Terrace Apartments on the 1600 block of Oakwood Drive in Lower Merion. Three people were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. Some residents had to be rescued from balconies. The fire started in a second floor apartment and spread to several others. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is helping displaced residents find shelter.

A man was arrested on Saturday afternoon after barricading himself in an emergency room at Episcopal Hospital and setting it on fire. It happened around 2:30 p.m. at Temple University Hospital's Episcopal Campus on the 100 block of East Lehigh Avenue in West Kensington. The man in his 30s arrived at the emergency department for detox treatment and was placed in a room. Shortly afterward, he barricaded the door, turned on the oxygen tanks, and lit his bed sheets on fire. A maintenance man broke a window into the room and the man jumped out. He fought with security guards until police arrived and took him into custody. The fire marshal declared the scene an arson. The emergency room was evacuated and is closed until further notice. No one was injured.
