Atilis Gym Open 2nd Day, Cited, Member Detained; Suspect in Assault/Shooting; DiNardo Lawsuit

Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, Camden County, New Jersey, opened up for a second day against Governor Phil Murphy's emergency closure orders. A crowd of people gathered again outside the gym to show support for the owners' decision. Bellmawr police delivered a second citation to the business for violating the shutdown order. The citations are $1,000 each. Two gym members were also detained after leaving the facility. It is not clear if they was charged or cited. "I will not close my doors again unless I'm behind bars and unable to unlock the doors," said co-owner Frank Trumbetti, "I guarantee you this door will be open every single day." The gym is taking precautionary measures. Only previous members are allowed inside and it is being held at 20% capacity. Temperatures are being taken at the door. Social distancing is strictly enforced inside, masks must be worn, and equipment is frequently sanitized.

Philadelphia Police are searching for a person-of-interest after a woman was sexually assaulted and another woman was shot inside a West Philadelphia apartment early Sunday morning, 5/17. It happened around 5:20 a.m. on the 7400 block of Brockton Road. The man allegedly entered the basement apartment and sexually assaulted a woman and then shot the other woman in the abdomen. Police have released surveillance footage of the person-of-interest in the case. If you have any information, call at 215-686-TIPS or text a tip to PPD TIP.

A lawsuit against the parents of a Bucks County man who pled guilty to the murders of four young men on his parent's farm can move forward. A Philadelphia judge denied a motion by Sandra and Antonio DiNardo, the parents of Cosmo DiNardo, to dismiss part of a lawsuit filed by one of the victim's families that said they should be held responsible for Cosmo's actions. The victim's lawyers argued that the DiNardo's were aware of Cosmo's mental health issues and past violent behavior but did not do anything to prevent him gaining access to their weapons. In July 2017, Cosmo lured the four men to the family farm promising to sell them marijuana, but instead killed each of them and buried them on the farm. He is serving four consecutive life sentences.
