| New Jersey Air National Guard Salutes Flight Path; PA Gov Wolf Calls Out Counties; Rite Aid Testing |

The New Jersey Air National Guard will be flying over the state around mid-day on Tuesday, May 12, to honor heath care and other front line workers. The New Jersey Salutes Flyover is part of the nationwide Air Force Salutes Flyover series. The 108th Wing and the 177th Fighter Wing will be flying a counter-clockwise loop around the state beginning around 11:20 a.m. and ending after 12:30 p.m. Four planes will be flying, a large KC-135R Stratotanker and three smaller F-16 Fighting Falcons. The KC-135R is stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as part of the 108th. The F-16s are stationed at the Atlantic City Airport as part of the 177th. "Never underestimate the value of a morale boost when in combat," Brig. Gen. Jemal Beale, commander of the New Jersey National Guard, said in a statement. "I want to thank the N.J. Air Guard for its patriotic gesture and flyover in support of our first responder cohorts as we continue to battle COVID-19." The planes will be flying by hospitals, testing sites, veterans homes, and field hospitals. You are encouraged to watch from your own homes and make sure you follow social distancing guidelines. See the flight path map below. Here are some locations and times the flyover is expected. The National Guard says to exact times could change by 15 minutes:
- Sea Girt: 11:30 a.m.
- PNC Arts Center in Holmdel: 11:35 a.m.
- Millstone: 11:40 a.m.
- New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison: 11:45 a.m.
- Menlo Park: 11:46 a.m.
- Kean University in Union: 11:48 a.m.
- University Hospital in Newark: 11:48 a.m.
- Meadowlands Exposition Center: 11:49 a.m.
- Bergen County College in Paramus: 11:51 a.m.
- Veterans Haven North in Glen Gardner: 12:01 p.m.
- New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs in Lawrenceville: 12:07 p.m.
- Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital: 12:13 p.m.
- Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May: 12:27 p.m.
- Atlantic City Convention Center: 12:32 p.m.
On Monday, 5/11, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf warned of consequences for counties and businesses who defy the state's guidance and move forward in the reopening phases before being approved by Harrisburg. A number of counties, including Lebanon, Schuylkill, Franklin, Lancaster and Dauphin, indicated that they would lift restrictions on their own and move into the 'yellow phase' at the end of this week despite not yet being approved by the governor. Those counties say that they have adequate testing and hospital capacity to deal with coronavirus COVID-19.
"Over this past weekend, some have decided to surrender to this enemy. These are politicians who were elected to serve their fellow citizens. Others are business owners who have chosen to serve their customers by putting them in harm's way. These folks are choosing to desert in the face of the enemy, in the middle of a war we Pennsylvanians are winning and must win."
"To those politicians who decide to cave in to this coronavirus, they need to understand the consequences of their cowardly act," said Wolf. Counties that reopen prematurely risk losing state and federal funding. Businesses that reopen risk losing business licenses, certificate of occupancy, liquor licenses, health department licenses. They also risk losing insurance for not staying compliant with governor's orders. Wolf also said that employees of a company that reopens against state orders do not have to go to work and can still stay home and still collect unemployment.

Rite Aid is now accepting all adults with or without symptoms at 71 testing sites in twelve states. You must by 18 or older, be able to present an ID, and pre-register online. Every testing site is drive thru and uses self swab nasal tests. Sites are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
