A missing 13-year-old Bucks County boy who took his parent's minivan early in the morning on Sunday, 5/3, was spotted in Virginia on Wednesday, 5/6. Kadin Kent Willauer left his home in Milford Township around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the family's white 2016 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. About 25 minutes later, he was spotted at a gas station in Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County filling up the vehicle. He also switched the license plates from the original JZV 0413 to a new plate ZGW 4969. Police confirm that the minivan was spotted on I-95 southbound in Fairfax County, Virginia on Wednesday. Willauer is described as white male, 5' 9", 130 pounds, blond hair, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, unknown color jacket and a black baseball hat. If you have any information about Kadin, call Pennsylvania State Police - Dublin at 215-249-9191.
A store clerk is in extremely critical condition after being shot in the head by a disgruntled customer in the Fairhill section of Philadelphia on Wednesday night, 5/6. It happened before 10 p.m inside the Vargas Mini Market on the ‪200 Block of E. Cambria Street near Kip Street. The 54-year-old cashier was shot point blank in the head. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital and underwent emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition. "The customer who fired the shots was inside the store approximately 15 minutes to a half an hour prior to the shooting, got into an argument with the store employee," said Chief Inspector Scott Small. "The shooter left the store prior to the shooting, he came back and that’s when he shot the store employee." Police have not made an arrest, but they have several eye witnesses and clear surveillance video of the suspect.
Today, Thursday, May 7 would have been graduation day for 10,300 graduates at Temple University. However, the Liacouras Center has been taken over by a temporary field hospital instead of being full of caps and gowns and pomp and circumstance. Temple Made Day is still being celebrated virtually for all graduates. It involves a message from the president, the provost, the president of the alumni association, and the student commencement speaker. There are special videos from the likes of Tina Fey, John Oates, Tamron Hall, Kevin Negandhi, Rhea Hughes, Bri Steves, and more. There are also school specific messages. The original in-person commencement was postponed on March 23.
