South Jersey police are investigating after a beloved deli owner was stabbed to death in a robbery on Friday afternoon, 1/3. It happened around 4:50 p.m. outside the Shamrock Delicatessen on the unit block of South Davis Avenue in Audubon. 52-year-old Jerome Pastore of West Berlin noticed that the tip jar had been taken off the counter and went outside to confront the alleged thief. The man pulled out a knife, stabbed Pastore in the neck, and then fled. Police released a photo of the suspect leaving on a bicycle. Pastore was rushed to Cooper University Hospital and died a short time later. There is a GoFundMe page started for the Patore family at https://www.gofundme.com/f/raising-money-for-the-pastore-family. If you have any information contact Camden County Prosecutor's Office at 856-580-5950 or Haddon Township Police 856-833-6210.

UPDATE: According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, 18-year-old Dyheam Williams of Lindenwold, NJ, has been arrested and charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the death of Jerome Pastore.

Upper Darby School District announced on Friday that upcoming home winter sporting events will not be open to the general public. That includes Wrestling as well as Boys and Girls Basketball Games. The policy change stems from a fight at a basketball game last month on December 17th. Officials decided that in the name of safety and to better control crowds attending games there must be stricter attendance rules. Upper Darby teams and visiting teams will have to submit an approved list of family that will be attending games. Students from Upper Darby and the visiting school must show their school ID to purchase a ticket. Any other person who is not on the pre-approved lists may be allowed in to a game but only after they are approved by Upper Darby or visiting team personnel at the door and buy a $5 ticket.

A Coca-Cola tractor-trailer crashed into a twin home in Quakertown, Bucks County, early Saturday morning, 1/4. It happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 600 block of East Broad Street. The truck driver did not see a turn in the road because of heavy fog on Saturday morning. He hopped the curb and slammed into the front of the home. He suffered minor injuries. No one was in the house at the time. It took several hours for a tow truck to pull the trailer out from the house. East Broad Street was reopened by 1 p.m.
