40 year Bucks County Cold Case Solved; Train Kills Person in Center City; NJ Voting Law for Convicts

A Bucks County man has pled guilty Wednesday, 12/18, to charges in the nearly 40 year cold case involving the disappearance of his wife. 76-year-old Wiliam Korzon pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and forgery. 37-year-old Gloria Korzon went missing on March 6, 1981. She was eventually declared dead in 1997, but her body was never found. William told the court today that Gloria tried to shoot him. He took the gun from her and ended up shooting her in the head. He then stuffed her body in a trash can and dumped it in the Delaware River. He later sold the gun. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

A person was struck and killed by a SEPTA train after falling onto the tracks in Center City on Wednesday morning, 12/18. It happened just before 11 a.m. at the 8th and Market Street station. The train was on the Market-Frankford Line. Shuttles are operating in both directions between 15th and Spring Garden. No word on how the victim got on to the tracks. The victim has not been identified.

New Jersey Governor Democrat Phil Murphy signed legislation on Wednesday, 12/18, that would restore voting rights to convicts that are out of prison but are on parole or probation. The legislation would affect around 80,000 convicts in the state. Convicts in prison will still not be allowed to vote. New Jersey joins 16 other states that only bar incarcerated convicts from voting. "Our Administration is deeply committed to transforming our criminal justice system, and today we are taking a historic step to give residents impacted by that system a second chance," Murphy said.
