Mother Charged in Disabled Daughter's Death; Eagles to Host Suspended HS Game; Women Stole Donations

A Philadelphia woman has been arrested and charged in the death of her adult disabled daughter last year. 63-year-old Yelena Nezhikhovskaya is charged with third-degree murder, false reporting, and drug delivery resulting in death of her daughter, 32-year-old Yulia Nezhikhovskaya. Yulia was quadriplegic. Authorities responded to their home on the 9600 block of Bustleton Avenue on December 17, 2018. Yulia was pronounced dead at the scene. Yelena was arrested on November 16th, 2019. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was drug intoxication and the manner to be homicide. Yelena apparently gave Yulia a lethal dose of medication and alcohol. She has a preliminary hearing on December 4.

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the remainder of a New Jersey High School football game that was suspended when gunfire erupted during the game on Friday night, 11/15, in Pleasantville, NJ. The playoff game between Pleasantville High School and Camden High School will resume on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philly. The game will be closed to the public. Players will get special passes to give to parents and family members to attend the game. The game was stopped in the 3rd quarter with about 17 minutes remaining in the game and Camden leading 6-0. There have been 6 arrests in connection with the incident. A 10-year-old boy who was shot is still in critical condition.

Evesham Township police are looking for two women caught on surveillance video stealing from a church donation closet. It happened on November 10th at the Church of Saint Isaac Jogues on Evesboro-Medford Road. Church officials noticed some items missing and checked their surveillance tapes. They saw two woman and a young boy going through the Saint Vincent de Paul donation closet. They took three $25 Kohls gift cards, laundry detergent, and some winter coats all worth around $460. The items were put in trash bags and they left in a white four-door Nissan. If you have information, contact Evesham police at 856-983-1116. See the picture below.
