$15k Reward in Radnor/Upper Darby Wawa Robberies; Charges in PATCO Hot Car Death; Trenton Laundromat

A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of three suspects wanted for armed robberies at Wawa stores in Drexel Hill and Wayne. Upper Darby Police, Radnor Police, and Wawa announced the reward on Monday, 9/16. Both robberies were caught on store surveillance video (see below). The first took place on Old Sugartown Road in Radnor Township at 3 a.m. on Monday, June 17. The second took place at Burmont Road and Sommers Avenue in Drexel Hill at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, September 14th. In both cases, the three suspects were wearing all black with latex gloves and covered their faces. The first two stormed the store armed with guns. The third suspect made sure to lock the front doors. That suspect was also wearing a colorful mask from the movie "The Purge." The suspects then forced the employees into the back room. They cleaned out the registers and stole lottery tickets. "At Wawa, the safety and security of associates and customers is of utmost importance," Wawa said in a prepared statement. "Wawa will continue to do everything we can to support the UDPD and Radnor Police in this investigation, and it is our hope that, in offering this reward, we can expedite bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice." The Camden County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against the legal guardian of a young child who was found dead in a hot car left in a PATCO parking lot last month. 60-year-old Shelton Shambry of Lindenwold has been charged with fourth-degree abuse and neglect in the death of 22-month-old Milliani Robertson-Lawrence. It happened on August 16th around 3:38 p.m. in the parking lot of the Lindewold PATCO station. A woman passing by saw the unresponsive child inside a minivan and contacted police. Attempts to resuscitate her were unsucessful. The investigation revealed that Shambry placed the child in the car at 6:30 a.m. and then forgot about her. He was charged with a summons and released.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's office will not be releasing the identities of multiple people taken into custody in connection with a laundromat shooting in Trenton until later on Tuesday, 9/17. Charges are pending, however. That shooting happened around noon Monday, 9/16, at the Liberty III Laundromat on the 200 block of Chambers Street. 21-year-old Geovahnie Fanfan of Trenton was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 16-year-old was transported by private vehicle to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being investigated.
