Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for several attempted abductions and sexual assaults on women in North Philadelphia on Sunday morning, 9/8. The attacks happened between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the 800 block of North 15th street and were all captured on video. One of the attacks was already reported on because the victim called police. (SEE: Attempted Abduction Caught on Video) That victim was able to get away herself after being grabbed by the suspect. The other two attacks were discovered while investigating the first attack. One victim is approached by the suspect and simply runs away. Another victim is grabbed from behind by the man, but a passerby helps free her. The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, receding hairline, medium brown complected, 5'8", wearing a black jacket with grey horizontal lines over a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black boots. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.

A young woman was killed by gunfire outside her North Philadelphia home on Tuesday night, 9/10. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of North 9th Street. The 23-year-old was struck in the head while sitting on her front steps. She was taken to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead. "At this time, due to the fact that we found the ballistic evidence hundreds of feet away from where the victim was sitting on her steps, we are not sure she was the intended target or she was struck by stray gunfire," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said. No arrests have been made. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Crystal Roman-Benitez. Police believe she was just an innocent bystander. A 54-year-old man was also hit by gunfire and suffered a graze wound to the right shoulder.

South Philadelphia's Melrose Diner is reopening Wednesday, 9/11, after a devastating fire on July 24th. The 24/7 diner at 15th Street and Snyder Avenues opened it's doors again at 8 a.m. In honor of the reopening, all purchases today are 50% off until 8 p.m.
