Car On Rims Tears Down 95; State Rep Brian Sims Confronts Woman Video; Truck Tracked by Cell Phone

Pennsylvania State Police received multiple calls on Tuesday morning, 5/7, from drivers on I-95 in Philadelphia about a man traveling southbound on just the rims of his car. It happened around 6:30 a.m. near Allegheny Avenue. The black BMW had been driving for about 10 minutes with no tires. Police pulled him over and took him into custody under suspicion of DUI.

Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims posted a video several days ago showing him confront a woman protesting outside a Planned Parenthood location. Sims represents the 182nd District which includes parts of Center City. The woman was alone on the sidewalk, silently praying the rosary. He called her an "old white lady" and said that her protest was "grotesque," while he continuously asked questions. Sims did say that the law allowed for her to be there, just as it allowed him to be there. However, he also said, "Shame on you. What you're doing here is disgusting. This is wrong. You have no business being out here." He encouraged others to do the same.

UPDATE: Representative Brian Sims has issued a response after receiving reaction to the video he posted of himself confronting a woman outside Planned Parenthood.

I will fiercely protect a womanâ€™s right to make the best choices for her health & her body, unimpeded. I also know that two wrongs donâ€™t make a right, especially on the front lines of a civil rights battle. Philadelphia Police were able to track down a stolen truck and car jacking suspects using the victim's cellphone on Monday night, 5/6. It started around 11 p.m. along the 6400 block of Elmwood Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. A 35-year-old man was sitting in his Chevy Silverado pickup truck waiting for his wife to come out when another man put a gun to his head and stole the vehicle. The victim realized his daughter's phone was still in the vehicle. Police were able to track the phone's GPS and located the truck in Kensington. After a chase that involved multiple police cruisers and the police helicopter, the suspect crashed on the 400 block of East Tioga Street. Four men got out of the vehicle and were arrested. A weapon was also recovered.
