Delco Music Teacher Charged Sex Assault; PennDOT Photo Center Problem; Sunoco Buys Sinkhole Houses

A music teacher at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor Township, Delaware County, has been accused of having sexual contact with students. Jeremy Triplett is charged with a felony count of institutional sexual assault of a minor, as well as charges of child endangerment, corruption of minors, and furnishing minors with alcohol. He is accused of having sex with one female student and 'making out' with a second female student in his office. He reportedly gave them THC-infused edibles and furnished alcohol. They would also vape. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia says that 30-year-old Jeremiah Triplett of Dresher, PA has been on administrative leave since the investigation began. Triplett is also the director of The Villanova Singers and the music director at Saint Katharine of Sienna Catholic parish. He is expected to surrender to Radnor Township police on Wednesday, 5/1.

UPDATE:Jeremy Triplett surrendered to Radnor Police on Wednesday morning, 5/1. He appeared before Magisterial District Justice Leon Hunter. "Jeremiah Triplett used his position of trust and authority as a teacher to prey on students and endangered their health by providing them with THC infused food," said District Attorney Katayoun Copeland. "I would like to commend the victims for their courage in coming forward and providing information to ensure the defendant will be held accountable for his actions."

PennDOT is experiencing statewide outages of its photo systems at their photo license centers across Pennsylvania. People who came to DMVs on Tuesday, 4/30, to renew their license or get their photo taken were turned away. PennDOT says they are working to fix the problem, but do not have an estimate of when it will be resolved.

Sunoco has purchased two Chester County homes on the same street that have experienced sinkholes and other problems related to the Mariner East Pipeline. The families had already moved out of the homes on Lisa Drive in West Whiteland Township. The homes were sold for $400,000. Several other families have also moved out because of the ongoing loud construction to fix the sinkholes. The sinkholes first appeared in March 2018.
