SEPTA Transit Officer Stops Robbery Video; Health Warning South Philly Acme; Logan Hit-and-Run

A SEPTA transit police officer stopped an attempted robbery on the Market-Frankford Line this past week in Kensington and it was caught on video. It happened on Wednesday, 4/3, just before 8 p.m. at the Huntingdon station. As the train came to a stop, the suspect grabbed the phone out of a 17-year-old high school student's hand and ran out of the opening doors. The video shows the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Zoilo Greo, running out of the train car followed closely by the teen victim. SEPTA Officer Lt. Michael Wright had been riding on that same train and saw the robbery. The video shows Wright exit through a different door and intercept the suspect. He tackles him to the platform. Greo has a long list of prior offenses. He has been charged with robbery. Chief Thomas Nestel reminds riders to be vigilant while riding.

The Health Department has issued a warning to customers who shop at a South Philadelphia Acme Market. An unidentified employee of the store located on the 1400 block of Passyunk Avenue has acute Hepatitus A. If you bought and ate pre-cut fruits and vegetables from the store between Sunday, March 17 and Friday, March 29, you should receive a Hepatitis A vaccine "as soon as possible." Hepatitis A is an infection of the liver. It can spread when a person who has Hepatitis A does not wash their hands very thoroughly after using the bathroom and then prepares food. The risk of infection is low, but customers are encouraged to get the vaccine.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into the front of a building in the Logan section. It happened around 4 a.m. on the 5100 block of South Ogontz Avenue. The driver of a black pickup truck crashed into the steps and front door of an apartment building. The truck managed to smash a big hole in the brick building (see photo below). The driver then drove off, leaving the truck's front grill behind. No one was injured.
