Police Searching for Missing NJ Uber Driver; 2 Kids Hit By Car in North Philly; Wrong Way Crash I-95

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Willingboro Police Department are searching for a missing Uber driver. 52-year-old James Benjamin Carter Jr. was last seen by his son on Monday, February 25th. Uber says that he dropped off a passenger at 5:15 p.m. February 27th on the 4900 block of Spruce Street and then deactivated the Uber app. His cell phone is either off or out of battery. Carter is diabetic. He also requires dialysis and has not been going to his appointments. Carter was last seen driving a beige 2007 Jeep Liberty with a New Jersey Registration of F58JLM. He is 5' 7", 120lbs, and is missing a lower tooth. He was last seen wearing a knitted cap with "Jeep" imprinted on it, a green Philadelphia Eagles jacket, and gray sweatpants. Two children are recovering after being struck by a car while walking to school in North Philadelphia this morning. It happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of 20th and Diamond Streets. The 4-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were walking with their mother. The children stepped out in front of a car and were hit. They were taken to Hahnemann Hospital and then transferred to St. Christopherâ€™s Hospital for Children in stable condition. They suffered bruises and lacerations. The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities. The investigation is ongoing.

A man was arrested after causing a multi-vehicle accident driving the wrong way on I-95 in Delaware County on Monday afternoon. It started when police spotted a black Ford truck stopped in the middle of the Departure lanes at Philadelphia International Airport. They honked to get the driver to move along, but he instead took off. 41-year-old Anthony Colabove of Wayne was driving the truck. He jumped the median, hitting two vehicles, and ended up going south in the northbound lanes of I-95. He eventually hit another vehicle head on. Colabove was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center and is in stable condition. He is charged with DUI and drug possession.
