Former Pennsylvania Democratic Attorney General Kathleen Kane was ordered to report to jail no later than 9 a.m. Thursday. The Montgomery County District Attorney's office filed a revocation request on Tuesday morning. District Attorney Kevin Steele argued that the 52-year-old Kane was no longer entitled to bail after the PA Supreme Court declined to hear her appeal. "Two different appellate courts have reviewed her case, yet her judgment of sentence remains," wrote Steele. "She received a fair trial, her guilt was proven beyond a reasonable doubt and now it is time for her to serve her sentence." Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy said, "The rationale for defendant remaining at liberty pending appeal has expired, post-sentence bail is revoked." Kane will report to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to start serving her 10-23 months sentence for perjury. She was sentenced in October 2016.

A township employee was shot and killed inside a municipal building in the Poconos on Tuesday morning. It happened just before 8:30 a.m. at the Paradise Township Municipal Building in Monroe County about 100 miles north of Philadelphia. The gunman walked into the building and opened fire. State and local police responded quickly and the shooter was taken into custody without incident. The victim is 65-year-old Michael Stripus of Stroudsburg. He is the sewage enforcement and building code officer. The suspect is 72-year-old David Green of Swiftwater. Police do not yet have a motive.

Members of the Atlantic City Democratic Committee held an emergency meeting on Monday night after two prominent Atlantic City politicians were involved in a violent incident outside a nightclub earlier this month. Leaders passed a resolution calling for Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy to step down from their positions without pay while the Cape May County Prosecutor investigates. It happened early in the morning on November 11 outside the Haven Night Club at the Golden Nugget Casino. Private criminal complaints have been filed against both Gilliam and Fauntleroy. Several media outlets have seen surveillance video and say that it was a physical confrontation and a violent altercation with punches thrown. The Atlantic City Democratic Committee "publicly denounces and condemns the alleged violent acts displayed by our elected officials" as well as "publicly apologizes to the vicious physical and emotional attack imposed upon them by two elected Atlantic City officials." The resolution also requests that New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy or Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver take action if the men do not.
