Mom Charged Using Daughter in Child Porn; Arrest in Roxborough Stabbing; Resentencing in 1998 Murder

A woman has been arrested in Ohio and returned to Pennsylvania to face charges that she and her boyfriend created child pornography with her 3-year-old daughter in Delaware County. Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced that 26-year-old Kayla Parker was arrested in Dayton, OH. She is charged with with sexual abuse, exploitation of children and other offenses. Four years ago she was living in Upper Darby with David Carbonaro. A search warrant executed at Carbonero's home in July turned up hundreds of photos and videos of the girl. He is awaiting trial. Parker's bail is set at 10% of $1 million. "This is an egregious case - a mother who preyed upon and sexually abused her own three-year-old daughter," Shapiro said in a statement. "My office will hold this woman - and anyone we find abusing children in Pennsylvania - accountable for their crimes."

Philadelphia Police have arrested a man in connection with the deadly stabbing of a homeless man in Roxborough earlier this month. 38-year-old Bronson Keefe has been charged with Homicide, Robbery, and Possession of an Instrument of a Crime. Keefe is accused of killing 48-year-old Enrico Stanziani on the 7300 block of Ridge Avenue. Stanziani's body was found on October 2 in a wooded area back off the road where he had set up a small camp. Residents knew 'Eni' as a friendly man and was well-liked.

A man convicted of 2nd degree murder in the 1998 death of a retired Philadelphia police officer was resentenced on Tuesday. Aaron Smith was originally sentenced to life without parole. He was 17 at the time of his conviction. The judge resentenced Smith to 22 years to life. He has already served 19 years and 10 months, meaning he'll be eligible for parole in 2 years 2 months. Retired Philadelphia Officer Frank King was shot and killed in December 1998 during a robbery at Reganâ€™s on the Boulevard bar. Smith was one of three men that entered the bar to commit the robbery. He was not armed. His accomplice, Robert Ramirez, fired the shots, hence the 2nd degree conviction. The 2016 U.S. Supreme Court decision against juvenile life sentences brought about this resentencing.
