Allentown Car Explosion Victims ID; Abington Teacher Arrested; $1 Million Lottery w/ Fortune Cookie

Authorities have identified the three victims who died when a car exploded in Allentown over the weekend. 27-year-old Jacob Schmoyer and 2-year-old Jonathan Schmoyer, along with 66-year-old David Hallman were killed and suffered traumatic injuries from the explosion according the the coroner. Hallman was a friend of Schmoyer. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, 9/29, on West Turner Street near Hall. The ATF, federal, state and local authorities are investigating this as a criminal incident. Officials believe that whoever set off the explosion died in the incident and that there is no longer a threat to the public. They still are looking for answers as to how and why it happened. A Latin teacher at Abington Senior High School in Montgomery County has been suspended after being accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a student. 55-year old Thomas Kummer of Willow Grove is charged with felony counts including corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, photographing, filming, or depicting a sexual act on a computer, endangering the welfare of a child, and institutional sexual assault of a minor. The incidents started in July 2018 and continued on numerous occasions over the summer. He is being held on $250,000 cash bail. The Abington School District say they are cooperating with police. A Pennsylvania man recently won $1 million from the lottery by playing the numbers from a fortune cookie. Ronnie Martin of Long Pond, PA, travels to New Jersey to work every day. He often stops at the same gas station to play Mega Millions and has been using numbers from a fortune cookie he got a few years ago. On July 24, he bought tickets as usual. The next day, when he went to scan them to see if he won, but the machine said 'See clerk.' The attendant knows Martin as a regular and told him "You've won $1 million" by matching 5 numbers. Martin insisted the clerk scan it in case he was kidding with him. He plans to use the money to pay off his house and bills. It ticket was purchased at US Gas on 423 Blairstown Road in Hope, Warren County.
